CHINA - According to recent media reports, global coffee shop brand Starbucks has recently admitted to using the chemical azodicarbonamide in its wheat flour.
Starbucks typically uses wheat flour to make its pastries.
According to reports in Chinese media, this same chemical is also used to produce products such as shoe soles and yoga mats.
Although the chemical is banned in New Zealand, Japan and countries within the European Union, it is legal within limits in North America.
